Good Morning fellow St John friends,
Well I think we have narrowed our villa down to the
Villa Cielomar. Does anyone know wher this villa is located, It is supposed to be neat the Gallows. Has anyone ever stayed there????
Thanks for all you info.

We are staying there is June. I haven't ever stayed there before, but it seems like it is near Gallows and very near Frank Bay. Tracy from WI stayed there. She is in STJ this week. GIve her a PM next week and she can tell you more.
When are you going?

Have never stayed there, but it shares a nice pool with a 4 condo building known as Villa Caribe where we've stayed twice(Larimar and Soleil are two of the units offered). It is actually on the street below called Seagrape lane so you are spared walking up that hill in front of the Blue Marlin place.

I've not stayed there, but I've been inside. It looks just like the pictures. This particular area used to be a GREAT residential neighborhood- with people who lived there for years. I'm not sure if the same people are still around, and I know there are new condos ("palm villas," I think?). Nevertheless, this is surely a great location, i.e., close to town, quiet, etc. Be sure to check out Elaine Estern's studio, near Frank Bay (which is also a great place to watch the sunset)!

Yes, I stayed there last March. It was perfect for us. The property manager & his wife are some of the nicest people I've evr met. Gerry always seems to be smiling or laughing, I assume probably because he lives on St john! You may PM me if you have any specific questions.

tsmann,
You have said you stayed her, how many people were in your party??How big is the loft bedroom, do you feel it is spaciuos enough for a couple??? Is it private: IE is there a door on the room. It looks very nice. Was it resonably outfitted for cooking???
Any info you would like to share would be appreciated. We are having a get together on Sat.
Steve, Thanks for the pic, it helps to get your bearings.
Sea-nile, we are going Apr 28-May 6. Can't wait to go again although I do feel like a piggy. We were just there in Nov. Although we normally travel every 3-4 months so this is a 5 month span so I guess it is OK LOL....
Will have to get a report from Tracy.
Thanks for all the help.
Soon time to start the count down although I think we started that as we were on the ferry to the airport in Nov LoL.
Tks Ruth

There were just two of us. It was actually a 'business trip' so I had the main bedroom, and my businees partner used the loft. It would be good for two couples, or a family of 4. (I would take my wife and 9 & 12 year old daughters there). I think they would like it. There is just a curtain to make the loft private though. You get up there via a spiral staircase. The place is well equipped, including the kitchen, and other supplies, like towels, chairs, cooler, backpack, etc. The hot tub was not recessed like in the photo. there is a new one, placed over where that recessed one was. Frank Bay is nice to look at, but pales in comparison to some of the other beaches.
Here are a few pics. I have more, including the villa if you need:

Hi Ruth,
I thought this was in the same building as Villa Soleil; diagonally across the street from villa Boug; across from the long white wall.

Not in the same building. It's the fifth unit that sits by itself down by the pool. If you look at Tom's gallery, it's the building at the far end of the pool in the picture titled "pool @ Cielomar". I think Soliel is the lower unit on the right in the next picture. Larimar is the upper unit on the left.
