I don't think touching the shark is a cool idea - but otherwise neat video clip:

What an a** - wish it would have bit him (just a wee bit) normally they are harmless unless threatened - I would say pulling his tail "might" have come across as threatening :)

Unfortunately when I lived on St. Thomas I heard a lot of stories about divers doing this kind of stuff. They probably are not going to kill you (of course they could in certain circumstances) but they can be dangerous - if they bite they usually don't let go. But also is just isn't respectful to the animal IMHO.

why?

I agree with Pia,why mess with it.I have some wonderful footage of a nurse shark @ Oppenheimer and I didn't have to mess with him.I just filmed and let him/her do their thing. :D {I did ask my wife if she would like to come over and see the shark but she declined!} Parafins

I wonder how the diver would feel if someone put their fist up his ass while he was taking a nap?

Sorry to be so graphic but that's just about the human equivalent as far as I am concerned.

Why are people such idiots?

Hey now! You could have said "shaken his leg" while taking a nap :)
