With the holidays over, I'm starting to plan seriously for our trip in February. I have a fairly long list of restaurants (old favorites and a few new ones) to try. What nights do some of the restaurants and bars have live entertainment? I know about Sunday afternoon jazz jam at Beach Bar. Also, La Tapa used to have a jazz trio (or duo) on Monday eve---do they still do that? And where can I hear "Slammin"? They sound like a band I'd like. We're staying in Rendezvous Bay area so we'll probably be mostly in Cruz Bay during evenings. Thanks.

There was jazz at La Tapa when we were there in Oct. (Monday night).

Check out Paradise People. We saw them twice while we were there. Thursdy evenings at the new Martini bar called Infusions and Tuesday's at the Balcony. I think someone (ruth?) said they were also going to be doing something at the Westin on Saturdays.

If you REALLY want to hear some good jazz, come to the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival (http://www.nojazzfest.com/index.php) in New Orleans and be a part of rebuilding New Orleans

Good idea, nothintolose---I've always heard thats a really great event---unfortunately, I already have too many other trips planned.

Sorry I can't help you with suggestions on jazz on STJ (my only one would have been The Beach Bar which was already mentioned).

Thanks for the best wishes for the Saints! We all hope they win it all, but we are also happy to have gotten this far! The atmosphere at the game last weekend was almost as if it WERE the Super Bowl!
