Hoosierdaddy Trip Report Day 4 - INFamily

Day 4 started with a wake up call from a large truck at about 7:15. The day before we had heard what we thought was a boat horn from Rendezvous Bay. Well, on Tuesday at the same time we heard the same loud horn. We heard it everyday Monday thru Friday at 7:15. It turned out to be a large truck was coming a round the blind curve/hill each morning. Went back to sleep for a little bit longer and then got up to go to Trunk Bay.

Found a great parking place. Reason being that the waves were up so they were not letting anyone in the water. We decided to see what Cinnamon was like and to my surprise there were people surfing.

Now I remember some one asking about surfing on the forum a few months ago. As I remember some people may have scoffed at him? Any way the kids liked the big waves.

We stayed for a couple of hours and did our thing and then got hungry. We decided to go to Shipwreck Landing. My wife and I had gone there 8 years ago and really like the view, food and atmosphere.
Along the way we saw this guy and a partner.

Funny thing though the other donkey was striped!
The kids liked shipwreck.

While we were sitting there a lovely family came in. It was a husband, wife and two daughters. I thought to myself could this be a fellow forumite? I had noticed them looking our way and then the husband asked where we were from and at that point I knew it was INfamily. They are a family that lives in Indiana about one hour from us. It was very neat to visit with them.
Ellen (INfamily) was kind enough to suggest that we go to Francis Bay because it would be calm. Wow was she ever right. The water was as smooth as glass. We snorkeled over to the other side of Little Maho. The water was clear and we saw the normal fish. Nothing out of the ordinary but very beautiful. We stayed about 2 hours and headed back towards Cruz Bay. On the way back we stopped at Hawksnest for a short time. Didn’t get into the water but still enjoyed the view.

Next we headed to St. John Spice. I was fortunate enough to visit with Ruth and Ron. They were so nice. Ruth even captured a Spice cam picture with her iphone and sent it to my email. We bought some items in her store and were across the street when I heard Ruth calling for me. I had left my beach bag in her store and she was kind enough to chance me down. One of the items I bought was the Cruz Bay Grill Rub. I have used it on steak and venison and it is marvelous. If you are in their store it is a must but. We then headed back to the villa and ate and jumped in the hot tub. We slept well knowing our 7:15 wake up call was coming.
