We are arriving on the 3:25 USAirways when we come down in July. Just in case there may be a delay, does anyone know which car rental companies close the earliest and stay open the latest. We usually use Dependable, but I believe they shutter up at 5 sharp.

St. John Car Rental closes at 5:00 also. Maybe you can make arrangements with your greeter to get the key and you can go the next day to sign the papers if you arrive after they close?

Thanks Bev, I've done the key under the visor thing on St. John before (how great is that!). I'm looking to rent at or near the airport on St. Thomas this trip.

We had the same flight times last november and rented from Dependable as well. We got in on time, got our checked bags, called up and made it in plenty of time for the 5pm closing. Before leaving though I was concerned about missing them like you so I called ahead. They said if we were leaving on time from MIA (our connection) that we would be okay, otherwise if we were delayed then to call and they would make alternate plans. Not sure what those alt plans were though since we were on time. I would suggest calling them and making sure they know your flight times and discuss the possibility of arriving later than scheduled.

If I had read that I would've seen it said STT...DUH!
We're leaving next Wed. so I sort of have STJ Tunnel Vision..
