Anyone looking for something to do on a whim...come on down to New Orleans and enjoy The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Fest. There is a common misconception that it's only Jazz Music. The "Heritage" part covers everything including rock (classic and modern), blues, gospel, classic rock, country, zydeco, you name it.

This year there are big names such as Neil Young, Joe Cocker, James Taylor, Bonnie Raitt, Dave Matthews Band, Better Than Ezra, Sugarland, Bon Jovi, Tony Bennent, Wilco, Erykah Baduh, Kings of Leon, Earth, Wind and Fire, Emmylou Harris, Ben Harper, Dr. John, Alan Toussaint, and many more!

Check out the schedules for each day...http://www.nojazzfest.com/

If you come down, let me know, I am there all 7 days!!!

Oh and if you want to see a sample of it for free, French Quarter Fest is this weekend: http://www.fqfi.org/frenchquarterfest/

Hey cupcake, where can I stream the shows live from Kauai? I'll listen to the show in a smoky port-o-let in the rain just so I can feel like I'm there.

I'm bummed I'm missing the party this year. But, well, there is that conjugal bliss thing. I think Christine suspects us.

Cheers, RickG

Rick - I don't know why she suspects us...could it be the public posts??? LMAO - Christine - you know we are messing wit' ya'!

Actually, go to the Jazz Fest site on the 2nd and 3rd and they are doing live stream. I think Jan watched Jimmy Buffett like that last year.

Margo...no comment
