Effective 30 days out : the RH - Cruz Bay Ferry $7 pp one way
Charlotte Amalie - Cruz Bay $8 pp
The $1.10 surcharge is rescinded immediately.
There will be a $.25 turnstile in Red Hook each way - starting when they install them.
Today: the RH- CB ferry will be $5----- in 30+ days $7 [plus $.25 turnstile eventually]
The CA -CB will be $10 -----in 30+ days $8
There is an article explaining things more in todays Daily News - someone way better at this stuff than I am may post it.

I had read about the turnstiles but not the overall change in rates. Thanks.
Assume there is still a $2 per checked bag fee for those with luggage?

The fare will go up to $7 and the bags will cost $3 at that time.

This is from the Source article mentioned above:
Fees between Cruz Bay and Red Hook will go from $5 to $7 for adults, from $1 to $2 for a child, from $1.25 to $2 for a senior, from $3 to $5 for commuters, from $2.50 to $4 for bulk tickets, from $1.50 to $2 for students, and from $2 to $3 for baggage.
With no fuel surcharge -

That's a big jump in rates percentage-wise! As for the turnstiles, are they going to start nickel and diming everyone? I feel bad for the folks who work on STJ but live on STT.
Will the car barges raise their rate as well?

Pretty soon it will be cheaper to take the car barge.
It adds up to $10 per adult with bag and $5 per child and who came up with the turnstile idea

We were there from 3-14- to 3-21 and the rate was $6 per adult with no other charge. We only spent the day there, so did not take any bags, but the sign still read $2 per piece of luggage.
