That's too bad. Could someone else come in and take over, or does the landlord want that business out of his building? I wonder if someone could buy the business and move it to another location?

I do not understand why David Mugar who owns Marketplace will not renogiate the lease.

This is horrible news! We vacation on STJ every year and have always counted on the Mail Center! I do hope things change and we don't lose such an important service!

Businesses, residents and part-timers can stop scrambling to find a new place to send and receive mail and packages. The Mail Center at Marketplace will stay open under new ownership.
After a second round of meetings, Marketplace management has approved The Mail Center’s sale to new owners, a deal that had been initially rejected.
They will be taking over the entire operation soon, with no interruption in service.
Expect an official announcement about the new owners Friday.
