I am new to the forum and my head is spinning trying to find a villa for 5/23 - 5/30. We are looking for something romantic for 2, with a pool and A/C. We have stayed at Gallows Point twice. Our budget is under $2,000. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try Lavender Hill Suites across the street from Gallows. We booked for 10 days before your week and it came to about $1000. Nice places with very clean rooms and a pool.

Another option:
Time Out Villa....

A little over your price but a great place. We're staying here in May also.

Since you said Gallow's Point, we are assuming STJ? Are you or can you rent a car or are you thinking around Cruz Bay side?

Sorry, I do mean STJ. We are planning on renting a car for the week and are pretty flexible on which area to stay in - just do not want to be near constuction.

For now construction has slowed on the island if you are concerned about noise. There are construction sites that we have to look at though. We have always stayed out on East side- East End, Coral Bay, Calabash and Carolinas. One cottage I had in mind is booked the week you are here. But try over there since you have a rental.

There is that big construction project in Calabash Boom but we've been told most of the heavy excavating is done and now they're doing finishing work. A bit of hammering doesn't bother me...
Look in to St. John Livin' or Island Dreams. The first one has pool and spa, second pool only. Great location in Coral Bay...

Thanks for the recommendations - I am checking on availability for Island Dreams - it looks small but pretty nice. Does anyone have any information on Villa Madeline in Coral Bay? It looks pretty nice but does not seem to have much of a view.

Try Morgan Point villa through Carefree Getaways. You will be checking in the day we check out of Morgan Point. The calendar shows it available for that week. It has full house a/c, pool, & hot tub & within your price range. There is a review of the villa in the reviews section.

Mike: Have the rates changed that much over two years or do you have some sort of frequent stay password? Which unit?
