Well, fellow Forumitz's,
We are off tomorrow morning on the adventure of our lifetime.
I am going to miss the trip reports,Cruz Bay sunsets and my daily checking in, but STJ will be with us in our thoughts.
If I am lucky to get online, I may drop a quick update.
Wish us luck on our 11 flights

What was I thinking????
I hope to be able to post some underwater pictures of the sea life from South Pacific. I am all set with a snorkel vest, goggles & mouth thingy ( can you tell I am new at this).

HE HE

Yeah what was I thinking 11 flights & a smoker to boot.
We are going to the Island of Rarotonga in the South Pacific, but to get there we have a flight from the middle of Canada to the West Coast, then a flight to LA, then to Rarotonga. A week of rest on the beach.
Next leg is from Rarotonga to NZ, then NZ to Melbourne AUS, a week of Aussis adventures, Melbourne AUS to Sydney AUS, back to Melbourne, day of rest, then the flights home begin, Melbourne to NZ, NZ to Vancouver Canada, sleepover, Vancouver to Calgary, Calgary to Kitchener (our home town).
STJ would have been so much simplier

I had to go read the wiki about Rarotonga. It sounds really interesting. I can't wait for a TR and some cool pics!
You'll need a vacation after all that traveling..

That sounds amazing! I'd be soooo excited. South Pacific is one of those trips that I always want to do and it keeps getting pushed back for something else. Maybe someday I'll get there before it's completely out of my price range!
Are you going to visit Aitutaki (sp?) the island of dreams while you are in Rarotonga? I'm always intrigued by that little jewel.
I'm jealous. I hope to hear about your trip when you get back home. Have fun!!!

Theshopper - have a fantastic trip!
If Rarotonga haven't changed too much, you will just love it. We visted Rarotonga and Aitutaki 1993 and it's still one of the best trips we have done in our lives. I will never forget it and we have planned to go back some day.
What a dream trip!

Wow, that's fantastic. I have never been to the South Pacific and I am quite envious.
Have a blast and then tell us all about it.
