Do you always shop for something new before each STJ trip? It could be a new pair of flip flops, swim suit, shorts, tanks, coverups, etc., but can you actually pack with NOTHING new to add to your bag. I can NOT. I am a confessed overshopper.

I am so determined not to overpack for this next trip, but I'm already thinking about what I "need". I am finally convinced I am a high maintainance kind of gal.

I must do better! Help!!

Well, yeah, I do buy stuff. However, I think that after this upcoming trip, I will have everything I'll ever need to go to STJ. I now have an island wardrobe. And you know what that means! I'll just have to spend more time in the islands, that's all there is to it.

Always! Have to. It's just not vacation without something brand spankin' new to wear! I'm very much not a shopper but, vacations are different. A few months out, I'm scoping for something...

I feel better already. If I have to pack the same old stuff I wear in the yard and to Walmart, it doesn't feel like vacation.

Oh boy are you barking up my alley! It's a problem. I have to buy a couple new bikinis, a coverup or two, a couple sundresses and new flipflops before every trip! Honey said the other night, "you're only getting one new suit right?" Ummm, sure. I already bought 3!

Absolutely!! That's one of my favorite parts of a trip is the pre-trip shopping. It's all part of the package. New Trip, New Stuff. At least a new linen dress or shorts or somethin or other that screams tropical!

Well I don't think that linen dress would survive too well in my carry on bag, but I'd buy a new one and blame it on the trip. I do a lot of that too. So many shoes and stuff I'd never wear on STJ, but at the time of purchase......Oh, I can take this to STJ. I end up wearing the same old comfy junk to the beach. I did get Liamsaunt's shoes, 'cause they're so cute.

i wear the linen dress on the plane. but a sidenote that i buy the kind of linen that looks good all shrunk and natural out of the dryer. no irons for me, well, ever

No, but she recommended a really cute pair that don't look like Jesus shoes and they are from Athleta.com. I have to admit, I'm breaking them in a few hrs. at a time, which is more than I'd have shoes on on STJ anyway. They are so cute.........most important thing...right??

Absolutely.... there is always something new in the suitcase....and no matter how much I take, or whether or not there is a washer/dryer, I bring home clothes that I didn't wear.... but a "girl"( using the word very loosely) must be prepared for any possibility!

That sums it so well, Cypressgirl!
Plus, if I wear something for the first time on vacation then when I wear it again at home it's like I've brought a little vacation back home with me!
