Exciting News for Facebook Users!

Ok, I have a boring life!

I made a new facebook application! It is called "St. John Gifts". Now you can send "gifts" from the island to your friends! Fun, fun!

You can search on the Facebook directory and find it!
(hopefully).

Enjoy! More items will be added as needed!

Remember, the ads/games all around these things...they could have viruses....so if you do send gifts, please don't take the IQ tests or play all the games advertised around it...just send, receive gifts. I think it is ok to add to your profile too.
Just my opinion there.

Let me know if you have trouble with the application. I think it is working. We have a couple of forumites who have tested it for me. Thanks girls!

P.S. This is not a commercial venture. Believe me, no $ is made on this, just a pure time waster on my part. But fun!

Cid,
Where did you look?

Did you do a search, it should come up that way....

I don't think it will come up under the facebook gifts.

Will someone see if they can get it via a search?

I am afraid to put a link here, when I look at it I can see all of my administrator stuff and I am wary of accidently giving access to that....given the mischief that goes on in the forum....

I'm sure Joshie will be hacking into it posting sock monkeys....

I went back and looked and I misunderstood something. The application says "approval pending". So I guess it will be a bit.

So, you have to wait....or those lucky ones will get something from a friend!

I thought when I didn't see it surfing the "apps" section that maybe it was pending.

Still pending...however over 140 gifts have been sent and we have 31 users!

Keep it going and send to your forumite friends!

Who knows what you will unlock, maybe some special island drinks?

I'm still not seeing it when I search "apps". Can you post a link?

I can't make it work! I've gotten some and tried to send some, but they don't show up.

I'm a facebook dunce, I guess.

by not showing up, where is it not showing up?

After you get the message in your notifications, you go into ST. John gifts, right?

Then you "click here to accept it?"

First, can you see it under "received?"

or "sent"

Or do you want it to show up on the wall? To do that, you click to send it, then it asks if you want to send a message to the person and if you want to publish it on that persons wall....

I am going to send you something and test....

I just searched Facebook applications for St John and all I got was St John Ambulance and Prime Ministers of Canada.

OK, Jimm, I pmd you. I will send you a gift if you add me to your friend list. Then you can use the application.

This is the deal. It is supposed to take 2 days to approve applications for being put in the directory. It is taking longer. It is probably because of the new Facebook changes. They are probably busy on that.

So for now, the only way you can get on it is for someone to send you something. Unless someone who has it already can figure out how to post a link.

I don't want to try my link because mine has the administrator page on it. I don't want to accidently post that. There is no way I will be able to tell what you can see if I post a link.

So maybe someone else could try? Someone who has the application already (who has received a gift?)

I'm sorry it is taking so long. I would have waited to tell everyone if I had known all this.
