iphone blog march 8 & 9

My last full day. And I actually made it to church. It started at 7:30am, so that’s saying something. It was a great service and really enjoyed it. Too bad these guys weren’t let in for service.
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/35307278@N06/3344982349/" title="photo.jpg by sugarbird00, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3555/334 ... 2ab1_o.jpg" width="600" height="800" alt="photo.jpg"></a>
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/35307278@N06/3345848642/" title="photo.jpg by sugarbird00, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3387/334 ... 6cef_o.jpg" width="600" height="800" alt="photo.jpg"></a>
Back to the villa, sugarbirds nest, for a change of clothes. Off to Hawksnest to see if the waves had died down. Not too bad.
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/35307278@N06/3345852954/" title="photo.jpg by sugarbird00, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3615/334 ... 289a_o.jpg" width="600" height="800" alt="photo.jpg"></a>
After awhile, I debate which beach I am going to go next. Don’t want to go to Trunk, too wavy, too many people. Well, I guess I’ll just drive and see which beaches moves me. It really is a tough decision to make. Hmm… But before I get into the jeep, I’m taking notice how the floor boards are still soaked from a couple days prior. I poke and prod under the seat to pull back the carpet to see if I can find those plugs that Saltydog referred to, and can you guess what I found laying way underneath the carpet, next to the metal frame?? Drum roll, please…..My license!!!!! Whew hew! Now I’m in a good mood!!
So I pull into Cinnamon to take a gander, and boy those waves are crashing. I meet an artist from Germany drawing on the beach. I have noticed a lot more people from around the world this trip than the others. The airport had people from all over the place.
So, next beach. Stopped at Maho, but there was just too many people,
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/35307278@N06/3345098399/" title="photo.jpg by sugarbird00, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3415/334 ... b33c_o.jpg" width="600" height="800" alt="photo.jpg"></a>
Ha! Just noticed this. Look at this guy’s legs that is in the picture. Completely fried from the knee down. At least, I think it’s a guy.
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/35307278@N06/3345102863/" title="photo.jpg by sugarbird00, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3376/334 ... 236a_o.jpg" width="600" height="800" alt="photo.jpg"></a>
so I went on to Coral Bay to see if I would be moved to drive to one of the beaches over there. Umm, that Aqua bistro sure looks good. I sure am hungry. Shopped around in the little shops while waiting for my food. Sat at the bar to eat and the guys next to me were really annoying. Time to move on. Well, thought I would go back to Maho as now it’s getting late and don’t want to miss the BB gathering. So went back to Maho and enjoyed the sun and swam a little bit. Here’s more photo’s from Maho.
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/35307278@N06/3345106149/" title="photo.jpg by sugarbird00, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3652/334 ... 88f7_o.jpg" width="600" height="800" alt="photo.jpg"></a>

Here’s the iphone gals (Ruth, Lynn, and me) at the BB gathering:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/35307278@N06/3345112019/" title="photo.jpg by sugarbird00, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3537/334 ... 697c_o.jpg" width="600" height="800" alt="photo.jpg"></a>
We had a hoot of a time. At some point, I was doing gymnastics tricks for the Spice cam. No comment.
Lynn and I headed to Zozo’s for dinner. Yummy. We had a great time. We closed the place down.
Next morning, got up early, packed, cleaned up, etc… then off to Honeymoon Beach and Solomon.
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/35307278@N06/3345123311/" title="photo.jpg by sugarbird00, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3652/334 ... 545b_o.jpg" width="600" height="800" alt="photo.jpg"></a>
There wasn’t another soul on Honeymoon.
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/35307278@N06/3345125675/" title="photo.jpg by sugarbird00, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3364/334 ... 0b2a_o.jpg" width="600" height="800" alt="photo.jpg"></a>
I could spend forever in this spot.
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/35307278@N06/3345963340/" title="photo.jpg by sugarbird00, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3385/334 ... 03c8_o.jpg" width="600" height="800" alt="photo.jpg"></a>
I would give my left arm to live in the house between honeymoon and solomon.
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/35307278@N06/3345129503/" title="photo.jpg by sugarbird00, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3585/334 ... cf47_o.jpg" width="600" height="800" alt="photo.jpg"></a>
Hiked over to Solomon. Ahhhh….
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/35307278@N06/3345971930/" title="photo.jpg by sugarbird00, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3335/334 ... f6ec_o.jpg" width="600" height="800" alt="photo.jpg"></a>
I sat on Solomon and tried to send a live picture from by typing the painfully long html code for like 30 minutes, since my pastebud application (cut and paste for iphone) is a total failure. But no go. Looked up and realized that, uh, I need to go catch a plane. Dang it. One last pic on the trail from caneel.

Reflections:
I absolutely loved solo travel. I have never done it before and was a little apprehensive, but once there, it was amazing. Why hadn’t I ever done something like this before?? Why did I wait so long?? Oh yeah. Real life commitments at home, but the opportunity arose, and off I went. I loved having absolutely no schedule, no plans, just going from moment to moment. I loved meeting new people, and making new friends, which can be harder to do when you’re with other people. It was nice knowing I had friends from the forum that I could contact if I needed anything. Kinda like my little island family.
Things I noticed:
• The amount of people on island during high season seemed not too much different than when I travel at the end of July/early August.
• The higher-end the restaurant, the less likely I’m going to be hit on.
• I would only get in the water after 2 pm until 4, when it was at its warmest.
• La Tapa had my favorite atmosphere.
• Zozo’s is still my favorite meals.
• Hitch hiking is the best way to meet new folks.
• Little Lameshur is my new favorite beach.
• Ruth is the best!
• Donkey’s are cute.
• I didn’t find Joshie.
