St. John 7/11-18

ok...just needed to post to get this out of my system. First timers headed to St. John 7/11-18, staying at Poi Pu (chocolate Hole), a week of sand, beach, sunsets, snorkeling and Beach Bars......

Chooch and T....welcome to the Going to St. John in July group! Be sure to drop by the Beach Bar on Sunday the 12th for a drink and some comraderie from this chat board! We'll be there!
One thing's for sure...it will be a lot cooler there in July than it will be here!

I hope you didn’t have your hopes up for multiple beach bars...there is only one Beach Bar on STJ
And while it is technically on a beach, it isn’t a beach where you’d hang out for the day or snorkel.
Most of the beaches are within the National Park, so if you want a bar you’ve got to bring it with you in a cooler

you will like Poi Pu my wife's high school (Class of 75
) best friend (her husband and his brother) own the place. They had us over for drinks after dinner at Skinny Legs last year during our stay. Sorry no photo's to busy talking / drinking

Yeah...I usually pack a bar, so wherever there's a beach, I'll be at a beach bar....
Great to hear about Poi Pu...it looks fantastic and we're really excited to go.
Now we just have to figure out a way to make it the next 4 months until time to pack up and head out!

Well...actually, native Texan.....Chooch by choice...For those not knowing what 'Chooch' means...just check out a movie 'Chooch-The Movie' next time you are at a blockbuster, etc.
The cover says it all.....I'm not, but I go by the nickname.....Just look for the big bald guy from Texas with the dark haired beauty by my side and yell 'Chooch'.
LOL....I AM SOOO ready for island time....

Howdy Allen neighbor! I'll be looking for you at Blockbuster while I pick up my copy of "Chooch The Movie"
As our Plano Pianogrl mentioned: YOU'RE GONNA LOVE STJ! The first time is always the best, especially when you hit the Northshore road and overlooks!
4 months doesn't sound like a long wait . . . I won't be back till October~~

Thanks to everyone. Glad I found this. I've done Belize, Guatemala, Mexican Riviera, St. Lucia, Bequai, St. Vincents, Grenada and lot's of other travel east and west, but I keep coming back to the islands. We'll definitely stop by on Sunday the 12th of July for a beer or 6.
I'm sending T the link so that she can participate in the fun as well.
