For ruining my life and saying facebook is ok.
I like Facebook! I cant get off of it. I like seeing what people are doing, even though it is usually boring. I clicked on the xray of a broken toe of a guy I havent seen for 25 years.
I read the most mushy thing ever of 25 random things where the guy goes on and on about his great family. I happen to know his wife is a total bitch and treats him like dirt. His son is the future kid who torches the neighborhood.
I like sending Slim Jims and Cheeze Whiz to my friends. I played a word game for like 10 hours so I could beat the score of my daughter's school librarian. (I am not kidding-I did end up kicking her butt, thank you very much.)
Anyways, THANKS. I'M ADDICTED TO CRACKBOOK.
ITS NOT MY FAULT!!

It's just the initial high. You'll come down.
Just remember IGNORE is your friend.
I actually went through and cleaned up my "friends" list a bit because I kept getting status reports that no one should ever share outside of their immediate family, if even then. When the detailed status updates re: breastfeeding started I had to shut it down! You - OFF my friends list!
It is cool to see so many forumites over there though in a kind of weird worlds colliding way!

I must be missing something. I am not addicted. I don't even know if my high school friends have photos on there. I couldn't find them if they did.
Actually, that's not entirely true. My grade school crush posted pictures of him and his new fiance, and facebook told me they were there, so I looked.
But if Facebook doesn't tell me, I don't know because I can't manuever that B$#ch to save my life. And now, they say they are making changes to my homepage. Thanks.
I'm sure it's a fascinating place. I'm sure I even have some cheeze wiz in the 102 requests that I don't know how to access. I like being in my clueless bubble. I think perhaps that's why I'm not addicted at all.
Flip, I hear on the new homepage that you'll be able to set which friends' statuses you want to see. That sounds like it will help you out. But I almost want to befriend you, have a kid and put up embarrassing updates just for you.
But I won't, because I don't believe in asking people to be my friends. I make people come to me.

Thank you for your reassurance flip flop (or whoever you are
I am trying to break my habit. I only posted one thing today. A friend got her nose pierced. I figured that was worthy of a comment!
She is 45 and has two kids. She said she wanted to make a statement.
I guess she will be ok when her daughter comes home with a pierced tongue or files her teeth down like a vampire to "make a statement"
To each his own!! She wil probably look good with it, about the only friend I know that might be able to pull it off.
Oh-and talk about inappropriate posts. My sister in law announced her step daughter got her PERIOD on her WALL. Come on!!! The step daughter has autism, but that doesn't mean she doesn't deserve some freakin privacy!!

The daughter and grand set it up for me when they were here for the holidays 'cause they said I needed to have more of a social life

I enjoy it but don't post a lot, have a friend request from someone I don't even know, and what are all those little charms and what does "poke" someone mean? That sounds obscene! I am definitely a little challenged on FB but enjoy it, mainly cause I don't check it everyday!

OK, the period thing might cross a line.
I am not very crazy on mine. I have co-workers on there.
Of course, they probably all know I'm crazy. If they don't, they will soon enough.
It's been interesting catching up with high school friends, but I find that the ones I wanted to keep up with I have for the most part.

Facebook has it's good things and bad things. I love catching up with people I haven't seen in years. But I hate the AW status updates, ie "Danielle is going to the movies with friends", "Jason just finished a great workout"...i mean, who cares???

This can all be controlled. Right click next to the item in the news feed & select "less from this user".
Going off memory, the point is that FB is fully customizable if you look around.
