Is it wrong to be jealous of my own child?

So my darling daughter is right now enjoying a week on St. Thomas with a friend's family. They spent yesterday on St. John (went to Woody's, the Beach Bar and Aqua Bistro) and will return again for a day or two later in the week. Does it make me a bad mother that I am jealous of that little b*itch ... I mean my sweet child?

I am jealous of my kids all the time. I never even was on a plane until I was 21 - they have been all over the Caribbean, Europe, the East Coast, etc.

It's okay to be a little jealous - but the payback next year when you leave her behind.....

Samoka - to make it worse, I am bringing her back to St. John in 8 weeks!! But she will pay. We have decided to make her our serving wench for that trip.

X - Absolutely! She is bringing the friend that she is on-island with now, so we'll have 2!! Plus I think you are staying pretty close to us, right? (We will be at Vistaero). Can't wait to have a drink with you.

My husband says we are ruining our daughter for all future suitors. We think that is a good thing!
She had been to more places by age 5 than he and I combined by age 25!

It's a delicate balance - you don't want to spoil them too much but you will be depending on them in your old age to be nice to you - my daughters are all grown now and they make the best slaves - of course daddy is their first concern - something about a girl and her daddy - samoka

We are at STJ Passion, just above the entrance to the Fish Bay Road, so not far at all, I think

Hi to Paula! Funny funny question! If you're wrong then my friend is wrong too. Just went for a walk with her and she was talking about her two kids being invited to Hawaii for a week and she is wicked jealous!
