Six of us arrived in STT from JFK on time at 12:30pm, we gathered our luggage and hop in a taxi for Red Hook,it was raining pretty hard and was the longest ride to Red hook ever(45mins). We arrived in Cruz Bay on the 2pm ferry and were met by our greeter from great caribbean Getaways. I left "Hi VIOL" in the sand and headed to Conrad Sutton's to get our Jeeps. We then headed to our villa "House with a View". The villa was not as nice as pictures and the pool was green and cloudy, oh well were on St. John. The villa rep showed us around and gave us a folder about water conservation etc and at the bootm it said "tipping greeter appreciated" I thought X would like to hear that. We unpacked and headed for the Beach Bar, we had some cocktails and dinner and the went to Dolphin for food and Peace Pine for spirits and returned to the villa where some one was working on the pool.
Wed.2/11
We headed out to Salt Pond since there was swells along the North Shore. Salt Pond was calm and beautiful.

After too much sun we headed to Skinny Legs for a Cocktail and Paul (In the system) left for the ferry dock to meet Jimmy and Ginger who were arriving today from North Carolina. Later, we all met up at the Beach Bar to welcome them, have some dinner and headed back to the villa. We spent alot of time on our deck overlooking Rendezvous Bay as the Cruise ships passed and the stars twinkled, it was very relaxing.
Thurs- 2/12 - Boat trip day
We arrived at Ocean Runner to meet our Captain, Tommy but Tommy was sick so we were assigned Capt. Chris. as we were filling out our paperwork I met St. John Julie who wished us a great day and off we went to Tortola to check inwith customs. Chris took everything in and on his return looked at Paul and said "they want to see you" as Paul Start to leave the boat Chris said "only kidding donkey farmer", seems Paul put donkey farmer as his occupation on the customs form and it was noticed. We cruised around the point from the West End and stopped at Smugglers Cove for some beach and snorkel time. we then headed to Jost and Foxy's Taboo. We placed our order, got a drink and headed for the Bubbly pool

The swells were keeping the Bubbly pool rockin. We returned to Taboo's and enjoyed our lunch and view.

We then headed for Sydney's where you're your own bartender. Here's our Crew

L-R-Jimmy, Ginger, April, Harry, Paul (in the system) Wendy, Rachael, Me (Scott)
We then went over to Foxy's when he was in his chair telling jokes, he said his doctor won't let him sing anymore. Here is a picture of Paul with Foxy

We didn't have time to make to White Bay but still a great trip. Boat days are always a highlight of my trips. We returned, cleared customs and when we returned to Ocean Runner found High Tide happy hour going so we stayed and had a great time. this place had friendly bartenders, great specials and wasn't crowded like the Beach Bar, one of my new favorite spots.
Stay tuned for massages, hikes and will the pool ever be clear?
