USVI-On-Line

We will be traveling in April. My sister will be bringing her 3 year old and wants to use a car seat while on the island but not have to haul one down like they did last time. Conrad Sutton doesn't have car seats. We are spending our first night on St. Thomas at the BW Emerald Beach. She is thinking of either taking a taxi somewhere to buy one the day we get in or take a cab on the way to Red Hook or Charlotte Amalie on the way to the ferry the next day. I have suggested renting from Christy's but she would prefer a new one and would then like to leave it in St. John or St. Thomas for someone that would get use from it. Any suggestions

I would think Kmart on STT would have a number of seats to choose from but I haven't ever shopped there.

As far as donating it when she is finished, maybe Pia or another island resident would have a good idea of where to direct it.

I always brought my sons car seat down and never considered it carrying since I used it in my truck,the airplane, the taxis on STT & STJ and then my rental. Kmart does have them in STT and Courtesy rental cars in STJ has them and will rent them for the week too.
