Eight or ten of us are coming down next Thursday for the 8 Tuff Miles (

Anyone else going down or participating in the race or part of the support crew?

I just started my training for next year.
In order to be ready I figure I need to sit in my car on the left side of the driveway with a plastic cup in my hand filled with a dark and diet.
oh wait....you are talking about running the 8 miles, right? My bad, I am training to drive to Skinny's

I will see you at the race. WOW 8-10 of you, a lot of people power. I need your help. The last litter patrol is this Saturday the 21st. Unfortunately the island is becoming completely trashed and there are now spots that look as bad as St. Thomas. On a previous litter patrol for the race I filled 4 very large bags in an 1/8th mile stretch of centerline road. I have seen hundreds of thousands of pieces of litter around the island and it is getting worse. We need ALL of you to come out this Saturday and lend a hand. E-mail me or Peter please. Thanx and have a great race.

Lulu is in training for NEXT year's race. It will take about 370 days to get her in good enough shape to make it. I'm definitely going next year, even if it is just to help X drive the dark and diet Jeep!

I can always use a co-pilot to hold my drink on the switchbacks!

Now that I have a two-year-old at my house, I have a variety of sippy cups for these types of occasions. I just hope they fit in my carry-on!

Did I mention that the place where we're staying is on the race course? I will be impressed if I don't sneak off to my air-conditioned bedroom before I make it out of Cruz Bay.

8 TUFF MILES Litter Patrol

I was only referring to certain areas where litter is abundant. Over all comparing the two I will agree St Thomas is much worse. I see the litter from a different visual. Running along the north shore and looking down towards the beach side of the road are hundreds of thousands of pieces of litter not visible when you drive by in a car. Coral bay at the crossroads is so sad also.
This Saturday we will be out in full force to help clean up centerline road before the big race on the 28th. Please everyone come out and help clean up the island. I have lived here 21 years and it is getting worse every year. Thanx to all who will help this coming saturday with the 8 tuff miles litter patrol.
