Does anyone know the breed of the dog (Eddie) on the old Frazier sit com? No, I don't need another dog, but I just love him/her.

He's a Jack Russell. In fact I think there are a couple of Eddies whose combined talents show an array of different "tricks".

I thought it was a Jack Russel but not sure. My SIL is a vet and said they can be difficult pets, but I still think they are soooooo very cute. Besides, I love that show and watch the reruns all the time. Niles and Eddie are my fav characters.

They are cute but VERY determined little dogs...My friend had two and had a party one night. At the end of the night Jimmie was missing. They looked everywhere for him and they heard wimpering coming from the cooler. Yep. Jimmie jumped in the cooler and the lid closed on him! Glad they found him or they would've had a Dogsicle!!

Jack Russell's have a LOT of energy. You have to be prepared to keep a Jack Russell busy if you own one.

This question reminded me of a puppy I saw advertised locally. "Mal-Rat for Sale" and it had a picture of the most adorable pup. It was half maltese and half rat-terrier.

The designer cross puppies come in every possible combination and the names are sometimes funny.

For instance:

porkies (pomeranian x yorkie)
juggles (jack russell x puggle)
moxies (maltese x dachshund)
bea-bulls (beagle x bull dog)

and-my favorite- the shiweeniewawa (shiz tzu x dachshund x chihuahua). :D

I love all those cross breeds. Am I the only one that watches the Dog Shows? I love that movie "Best in Show"....a classic in my book.

Our next door neighbor's have two Jack Russell Terrorists.

They named the first one (who was acquired 1 year before the second) Cosmo.

They named the second one Kramer.

They are adorable dogs.

Unless you're out in the yard and they hear you... or unless they're just out in the yard....and you're within a 3 mile radius

I am a dog lover - we lost our last Boxer just over a year ago - I'm just not a lover of constantly barking/yapping dogs. They do have alot of energy (and vocal cords  )

I watched the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show the other night.

Was pleased to see that geezer dog win.

What a class act.

I just wish I had called my Bookie on that deal....I'd be buying KC's shack about right now!...I had a feelin' ole "Stump" would blow the rest of that pack outta' the water.... Here's to all of of us ole' dogs..long may we swim in lots of blue water!

Wire-haired Jack Russell Terrier - I refer to them as pogo sticks with legs

We looked into getting a Jack Russell but chose not to, due to their "energetic" and "stubborn" dispositions. We wanted a dog that would enjoy cuddling but still like long walks. We selected a beagle. He has been a bit of a challenge (he's stubborn, too) but, he's such a little lover!

My sister has two Jack Russells. They are crazy. She doesn't think so, though, so I guess it's a good fit for their family...

They are SUPER smart, high energy, and in need of an owner who will be active with them and relentless in their training. They are determined and stubborn.

I never want a dog that will out think me!! That's why I have a Mastiff. Big, lovable, lazy, and stupid as heck

XOXO
