Is it possible that the ship stayed late so that people could watch the Super Bowl on shore, or is that dumb?

Joshie, looks like you must have gone down to the dock to check things out. Did you leave today's sandscript?

BTW... the ship that's out there today is one of the Sea Dream ships. The one from last night with the lights was probably the Wind Spirit 4-masted "sailing" ship that was in cptnkirk's photo. It originates from St. Thomas on Saturdays and calls on St. John every Sunday during Winter, but generally leaves earlier on Sunday evenings because it has its longest leg of the trip to get to St. Martin by Monday AM. We've sailed on her a couple of times. It also calls on some of the BVI, so the trip between each port is pretty short. They usually just sail out to try to find a calm patch of sea to hover over through the night, and then pull into the next harbor just before dawn. On our last trip, as we were leaving West End Tortola, the ship's captain came on the PA for the night's announcements, saying, "If you look ahead just over the bow, you can see our next destination, Jost Van Dyke. Its only about 4 nautical miles, but in true Wind Spirit fashion, it will take us all night to get there!"

The windstar has been coming for longer then a few months.
When I shot my DVD at Gallows with Jeff and Russ in 2004, we had a Windstar in the background.
That was a Sunday.
They normally are docked from 7a -7p.
I did a cruise for a friend a while back and taught pilates on the trip

Ha! Is the auto erase function a result of the incoming tide, or the giant Etch-A-Sketch affect from the recent tremors?
