Has anyone from the Massachusetts area taken the shuttle from Boston to JFK and continued on to St. Thomas? Is the terminal for the departure flight for St. Thomas close to the arrival gates from Boston? Thanks for any info.

Generally all shuttle flights fly into LGA not JFK--however, there are BOS-JFK flights (but they aren't the hourly shuttles run by delta and i guess now USAIR?--theu've changed hands so many times its hard to tell!)
however, Jetblue has a pretty regular boston /jfk service in which case you would NOT come into the same terminal that you depart from (jetblue is terminal 5 now) and it would depend on which airline you were flying to STT on --if you are on AA then you leave from terminal 8--but the airport monorail is really quick.

their (jetblue's) first trip out is at 6:05--gets into jfk an hour and a bit later-- 49 dollars one way
I know that american has a connector (or used to ) from Boston for their later flight from JFK to STT (not the early flight though, or i don't think they do )

ok, so are you flying outon flight 655 then?
if so you will come in and go out at teh same terminal and you should be fine (weather and everything else permitting) there was a similar post about this earlier in the week-but you should be fine--just gate to gate at terminal 8! (it maybe 9--but i think they use that for int departures -- whatever you will come in and leave at the same AA terminal--guaranteed (if you are flying AA on to STT)

You should check when Flight 655 is scheduled to depart. At different times of the year, the departure time moves between 7 and 7:30 and 8. If the flight is scheduled for 8am, a 6am departure from Boston is fine. 7:30 is pretty close and 7am simply won't work.
Both your arrival and your departure should be in Terminal 8. I believe terminal 9 is closed now.

I have the exact same flights booked for 6/21. We leave BOS @ 6am, arrive in JFK @ 7:10. Flight 655 leaves JFK @ 8am, leaving us 50 minutes to make the connection. I spoke to AA, and they assured me that the BOS to JFK flight will arrive at the same terminal as the departure flight, and that we will have plenty of time to make our connection. Arriving in STT @ 12 noon will be heaven!!

correct!
it used to be that they used one (9? for domestic) and 8 for caribbean (so thus the need to switch terminals)
then they switched to one being international (except london) and they kept screwing that around (it was a pain) but 9 is now closed.
so you are in and out of 8.

Anytime!! Looks like quite a few forum members will be on island that week, so I'm hoping we can all get together at the Beach Bar some night during the week.
