My baby boy is turning 2 this weekend and I need help. Because he's too little to care his sister and I picked the "theme" of pirates. Most attendees are of the adult variety. Smallish, about 15-20 people.
Any food suggestions that would be seem in any way to go with the theme but are EASY would be so appreciated!
It is winter, my inspiration is tapped out.

Go with Clipper City's Heavy Seas line of beers - they're extrAARGHdinary. Tasty Baltimore beers, hon.
Hard tack makes good teething biscuits.
Cheers, RickG

I still say you need a parrot. Um, but not as food. Just for entertainment. Food? I know! Octopus Hot Dogs.

have you seen how you can take a sarah lee poundcake and turn into a treasure chest cake....ice brown with trim...slice off top and fill with candy to look like treasure.
kinda tacky, will go perfectly with the octodogs.
BTW-my children actually made me those octopuses for my mothers day dinner a few years ago. Sweet kids...

Hey Flip-Flop,
This is a GREAT recipe for young and old....can't stop eating the stuff!
White Chocolate Party Mix
4 cups Cheerios
4 cups Crispix
2 cups dry roasted peanuts
1 10 oz. bag pretzel twists
1 party size bag of plain M&M's (or more)
2 12 oz. bags Nestle vanilla chips
3 T. oil
Mix all ingredients EXCEPT vanilla chips and oil in large Tupperware bowl. In a microwave safe bowl, melt vanilla chips and oil for about 90 seconds or until melted. Chips may not be totally melted but will melt when stirred. Be careful not to burn. Pour melted vanilla chips over dry ingredients. Mix gently with a large rubber spatula until coated. Place a lid on the bowl and shake vigorously to thoroughly coat. Dump mixture onto wax paper and allow to dry and harden. Break apart and store in air tight container.
This is always a hit. Enjoy!
