Gang, I can't find a review of the new Island Blues incarnation. Can recent visitors update the review section?

Could there be Disco Fries?

Cheers, RickG

I thought I saw a post of the new menu and it was sans disco fries and quesadilla (sp?) of the day. Maybe it was on the onstj site?

Rick, menu can be found here

I can testify that the food there was great! Especially their wings, popcorn shrimp, crabcake sandwich and other sandwiches (based on what we ordered at our table). Fries and drinks were great too. Just good yummy food! Prices were good as well.

We only grabbed lunch there but we will definitely go back for several meals (dinner drinks and lunhes) when we're there in June. I've always liked this spot and as long as there's decent food I'll keep coming back.

There was a board with specials and all of those looked good too.

Ok-- now I'm hungry! YUM!!

We were there nearly everyday during our trip in December!! Had lunch a couple times and dinner a couple times! Don't remember the Quesadilla of the day anymore! Everything we had was good and there were daily specials. Here's myspace link with menu!!

lazylane - funny that you mentioned the quesadilla of the day special as I ate whatever it was every day we ate there two summers ago. Their quesadillas were AWESOME!

Last summer, just the bar was open, but Island Blues for lunch is by far one of my favorite things about STJ. To be able to sit at the plastic tables and chairs, have that great breeze, listen to good tunes (the former owners were big fans of Jazz Fest and always put on New Orleans music when we were there) and just take our time and relax without a care in the world.
