Anyone been to the Galapagos?

We've been thinking about places we'd like to see before we die (or at least before we get too old to travel easily). The Galapagos is one place on both of our lists. I haven't done any research at all yet but I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who's been there.
I mistakenly posted this on the Relocation forum earlier today. Couldn't figure out why it disapperared from the OTF.

No but it is on our list for when our son hits about 10 years old. It will be a dream trip. Well, really what trip isn't?
I am liking the Linbam boat trip and would love to hear others experiences.

Galapagos is the most amazing trip I have ever taken...the wildlife is awe-inspiring and we never go tired of seeing the sea lions!
We took 7 day cruise and loved the size of our boat (24 passengers)! Everything was beyond out expectations!!! The highlight was a impromptu swim with wild dolphins!
Here's some pictures on this and some of my other trips.

Hi Everyone. We did the Lindblad trip on their "Polaris" ship last January and absolutely loved it. We snorkeled every day with seals and penguins and mustard colored rays If one can get to do it by all means do.We flew out of Miami to Ecuador on AA (4 hr flight) and met up with the Lindblad group there spent the night and the next morning on another local flight apx (1 1/2hr) to get to the ship. Ship is not a new or fancy not a luxury cruise but WAS nice and clean and the crew were all accomodatimg and could not have done more.they are really are into the Galapagos and the naturalists on board who went with you everywhere were great and knew what they were talking about and loved to show off their islands. I have lots of photos if anyone wants email me your address and I will send the Kodak link. With the economy as such right now Lindblad might be runing some good prices

We are going in March with Celebrity on their Xpedition ship. I can give you details when we get back, if you are interested. But from what I've read it's a trip of a lifetime (but that's what I said about our trip to Antarctica).
In doing my research I found several operations that I would recommend, but Celebrity seemed to offer a little of everything, so we decided on that. If you are interested in the other companies I researched, let me know.

We would like something on the small side. At this point, we have at least 3 couples interested in joining us (grandparents, godparents) and a host of others expressing interest. We may end up taking up a good portion of a smaller boat.
We have plenty of time yet but a company that was in business now AND in a few years would be a good sign in my book.
