Last full day December 30th Day 6 Waterlemon and Cruz Bay

I really wanted to visit Waterlemon. I really had to do some fast talking to get my family to go. They wanted to go to Trunk or Maho. Knowing that we were going to visit a few different islands before we come back to St. John I wanted to see Waterlemon while we had a chance. I am so grateful that we did. It was the most amazing snorkeling we have ever experienced. There were so many fish and the coral was amazing. I use to wonder why people were more "into" coral than the colorful fish. It was an amazing day! I promised Mariah that I would mention her in my trip review. Mariah is a local who was kind of showing me around Waterlemon. She is the one who found the starfish. She also pointed out a sting ray. She was a sweet girl!

While we were in Cruz Bay we saw baby chicks and an little green reptile. The whole trip I only saw two of these.

We finished our packing and went to Windspree where Kay and Karen helped us with our boarding passes. They were so friendly and helpful.

We will miss St. John!

Gina, the snorkeling at Waterlemon is almost always spectacular. SO glad you persevered and got out there. The starfish were out in full force on our recent trip, hundreds of them lying on the west side of the cay. The water was very rough so we didn't get all the way around the cay this trip but other trips we have and there has always been some extremely colorful, stunning sights on that north side.

Nice photos....I especially like the blue tang and elkhorn coral! Beautiful!

Pia and Ruth: if you know who Mariah is tell her that I mentioned her and that she should be a tour guide in the water. She was like a mermaid scouting around and so excited to share it with us. Her excitement was contagious. I was so much fun watching her.
