hi all, would it be a good idea to try to coordinate what people want to donate to the school? that way they won't end up with 100 glue sticks and no pencils...
sort of like a pot luck?
just a thought--maybe it;s not necessary?

I'm sending things we already have - freecycle!

I bought pencils, markers, colored pencils, highlighters, dry erase markers, the requested clips, glue sticks and pens. I am sure they can use whatever we send.

I've bought a bunch of things on the list as well; I'm sure they'd be grateful to stockpile any extra supplies.
(My sister is a teacher and I know that glue sticks tend to last about 32 seconds in her classroom!)

I'm confused. Is this the same request for items that came from Pia.

yes,
i just thought it would be nice to know who is sending what (so we didn't al send glue sticks) --but i guess it's not really necessary and created more confusion than anything else

I have two boxes to fill with pens, pencils, sharpeners, highlights, etc. I figure a school can never have too much of that stuff.
I will also send down paper - construction and tissue and masking tape - in the next shipment. I will add HP 96, 97 cartidges to our next office supply order and send with the paper.

My box is on it's way (well tomorrow!). I picked up a bunch of miscellaneous things along with some extras I had at home. I think this should be an annual event!

Pia, I'm going to send a PM to you about
the supplies we're going to bring @ the end of Feb.
I think my sister would enjoy stopping by and maybe
meeting someone or seeing the kids at the school when we drop it off.
I'll be in touch.
