We just had a 4.9 earthquake! Rock n' Roll!!!!
Update: now upgraded to 5.0!
Now downgraded to 4.5 with 5 aftershocks... 1.6 to 3.3

Chet, it was in San Bernardino. The only way I can think of to describe how it felt is it was like if you were sleeping in a boat on calm water and another boat went by very slowly and your boat rocked from the wake. Very gentle... with the windows creaking! LOL! Here's the USGS report:

That's an easy one...I've been out of work for a month with a back injury. Take the narcotics first... By the time you're done eating you'll be about ready for a nap. Better living through pharmaceuticals!!

My sister lives in Irvine and she emailed me last night about the earthquake, she said it's the first one that has really shook hard since she moved to CA three years ago.

Don't scare your sister with this, but that was pretty mild by the time it got to Orange County. It did shake pretty good up by San Bernardino, though. Stuff fell off store shelves and such.

Glad it wasn't too bad.
Costa Rica had a 6.1 on the same day. Coincidence?
15 dead and many stranded at resorts.
They are not on the same plate or fault line I don't think.

It could be related. We're all on "The Ring of Fire". (But I sort of doubt it)
