Our first beach when we go is always Cinnamon Bay. That one thing for me is feeling the warm sand between my toes while listening to the calm surf that first day.

Hiking to a beach, snorkeling for an hour or so, taking a rest/water break, snorkeling for another hour or so, and never seeing another person, other than your snorkeling buddy, the entire time.
I just can't get over that, it is so cool!

Wow. Tears swelling up in my eyes, too! Phew!
Blast of heat from the tarmac on STT-priceless!
Familiar faces recognizing you again, way cool.
Turning into a puddle of dilirious humanity,-well said!
But I think my favorite thing, hands down, is rounding that last turn on the North Shore from Cruz Bay through the hollow of trees as I approach Maho Bay. Aahhh...you can almost drink the scents in the breeze! Coupled, naturally, by My Sweet Amy & I smiling the day away on that wonderful beach...
Serenity Now!!!
Also love the "no chilly ball factor" walking into that water for the first time each day.
Whoops, that slipped out...

There will be no "slipping out" of balls around here, young man!

It’s one of the very very few places and I can actually feel relaxed and have no worries about life. My everyday life is stressful enough not to bring that energy with on vacation. Once I’m off the ferry and on Island…there is that feeling of not having a care in the world until you have to be on that flight back to reality.

About two minutes after getting off the plane, walking past the terminal waiting area and seeing all of the people inside who are getting ready to leave...and knowing we have two weeks on STJ ahead of us.

My memories.
My favorite part of every trip is when the CA Ferry pulls away from STT. I go from "Type A Personality" to some form of Zen state. Funny, my least favorite part of every trip is on the same ferry, coming back to STT.

Really, mom? wow.
I haven't been to the islands yet, but I think my favorite thing about our trip will be getting away from the cold MI weather for a week, AND a slight teensy weensy chance of spotting Kenny Chesney somewhere

hehehe a girl can dream!
