The only problem is that she's in Birmingham, AL and tied to that area. She's 45, 2 kids (H.S. age), a lawyer for the state, dark hair, blue eyes, great figure, very fun (loves to drink, although not TOO much

)! Maybe a group meeting in the VI someday.......

When you are explaining to your husband over dinner that there are a bunch of forum members all in St. John at the same time and we're planning to meet up for drinks and your 16 year old daughter starts yelling at you for wanting to meet strange people you talk to on the internet. Now this is just not acceptable to you so you DEFENSIVLY tell her how you already KNOW these people and they are all extremely nice;)
So were are we all meeting during the week of April 21-28th anyway? hehehehe
And..ISLANDGIRL "plus when you get soooooooo homesick for stj that your bags are ALWAYS PACKED and you swear that you are going to just give up everything (including house, kids, hubbie) and RUN AWAY!!!!!!!!. i swear it is true" -
---I WANT TO COME T0, CAN I, HUH?

BugBlu ... I totally relate, my husband and I were talking about my Forum Ladies Gone Wild Trip this fall, and my 17 year old, was like, "Your going away without daddy?" "Who are you going with?" My husband gave me a look,

like how are you going to get out of this one? I looked this child in the eyes and said without missing a beat, A bunch of old college friends, we all found each other after all these years, and we are going to do a girls trip!!
After 6 years of telling her not to talk to strangers on the internet I was not going to admit that I do not follow my own advice!
"My name is Betty and I am a St John addict"
and the forum reply's "Welcome Betty"

.....you get out of the house and to the mall and into Sephora (not a small task with a new baby) and think to yourself dammit I should have printed VickyH's list of must have beauty products.
I really wanted to try out Chanel Ruban Perle in Sunlight & Smashbox O-glow! Of course all I could remember by the time I got there was something by Chanel and something my Smashbox! Ahhhhhh...I guess I'll have to make another trip!

You are shopping in the mall and you see a pair of capri pants with flip flops on them and you think, "Oh, Flip Flop from the forum should have these pants!"

I have those capri pants with the flip-flops on them! (They're actually long pants on me, but they're supposed to be capri pants.) I got them to wear to Maryanne from the forum's husband's fiftieth birthday/daughter's college graduation (I think). Now I'll think of Maryanne and family AND Flip Flop from the forum when I wear them.
You know you're addicted to the forum when your significant other (finally) gets hooked on it as well and you find yourself relieved because you know that if you're too busy to keep up, they can keep you updated and you won't miss anything.

Sorry, but I just ran across this topic while searching ...
...when you are in the market for a new camera and are doing research to decide which one to buy and this is one of the first places you look for some expert information.
Any suggestions? (Mine just gave up. I've been looking at Canon's website, but I'm open for suggestions. I'd probably like some kind of "point and shoot", with a decent zoom for the kids and their sporting events ... but I'd love to have a good underwater case option too.) Thanks!!!

BTW, I've been looking at JC's great pics and that is what got me turned on to Canon, but I would love any info. Thanks!
