Robin - I missed your post the first time around. Yep, W&M girl. When was your brother there? I met my husband there too! I graduated in 1995. Its a small enough school that I might actually know him! Nothing like Tech, which is where my nephew just started this past fall.

I think we went there last fall. There's probably isn't more than one brewpub in Leesburg. I'm hoping that tomorrow's gathering doesn't go too late since i have an early meeting on Wednesday, but if it does I'll see if i can steer the group over there.

VA Girl - we will definitely have to get together for a drink while on St John1 Let's set up a time before you leave.

This thread is a hoot....who knew so many people have ties to or live in Virginia on this forum?
I'm going to PM you today with some info so we can make sure and make it happen; I'm afraid if I count on my memory to come back to this page and follow up with you it will never happen! Looking forward to it.

And thanks, too, for that picture. I remember going over to the Peaks of Otter lodge and having their buffet with my parents, and later on with my "true love"...beautiful place, great memories!

Another Virginian! I'm from the Eastern Shore of Virginia - not connected by land to Virginia and sometimes left off the map of Virginia, but we're Virginia! We have the Chesapeake Bay on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other. Such a beautiful place but development is coming.....very sad to see.

Patty -

We were in your area last twice last year. We stayed at a B&B in Chincoteague and went to the chili cook off last fall. We also went to Tangier Island - what a different (kinda strange) place!

We also stayed at another B&B in Gloucster (sp) near Mathews. We have friends who have a place on Gwinn Island. The Eastern Shore is so beautiful.
