Just look at all the parking spaces around by the Morris F de Castro clinic.
Thanks for the photos.

Crickett---
That 2nd Dockside photo would have been taken in the late 80s or early 90s----more likely the early 90s. I'm not sure about the year, but I am sure that the woman isn't your sister. It's almost too bad, because I do love those sort of cosmic coincidences. But I know that woman and know enough about her to be certain that she's not your sister. I think it's great that your sister couldn't be sure if it was her or not , though.

Hi Lex... I have to admit that I am a bit dissapointed as I too love what you call cosmic coincidences. It's really unbelieveable how much this woman looks like my sister. If I can find a picture of her from that time, I'll post it.
Thanks for the response.

I thought I had a shot of that street. Finally turned it up and sure enough:
Fred's is the building with the blue posts on the right.

Sorry, but now that I've put up a few photos, I'm kind of swept away by the novelty of it. I'll tire of it soon.
These aren't my oldest old photos (I still have to scan them), but they're not the standard STJ shots. Here are some street scenes:

Fred's on one of those nights

And Fred's the next day. It's always hard to believe that it's the same place.

Lex, cool pics. Thanks for sharing. I like the abandonded jeep being overgrown picture!

Have any idea where that was?
I hope there are other pics to share out there, I could look at the old pics all day.

Thank you Lex for sharing your photos. Fred's what a great place!
Do you remember the Out? This bar was across from the the ball field down by where Mongoose Junction is located. A lot like Fred's, this is where Inner Visions played when they went by Prophecy and before that Explosions. I wish, I had a photo but unfortunately I do not. My second job was bartender there and my first night was old years night. What an experience - I will never forget!

I love looking at the old pictures too and I wish that I could have visited in those times, when STJ was even less built up than now.

That looks like the Dockside building, so I guess we know that it was still there as late as '96.
I don't have a memory of the Out, but I have many, many memories of The Kite, which hung on the hillside where the Peter Bay monstrosities are now perched. I'd love to see some photos of it. I'd love to see if it actually looked anything like I remember it. I remember it being perhaps the most wonderful place in the world. The owner was Victor Hall, who's still around. I asked if he had any photos of the place, but sadly he said they were all lost in the fire that destroyed it. It astonishes me that I wouldn't have taken ANY pictures of places that are now so significant to me.
That overgrown jeep was outside of Coral Bay heading toward the East End. I don't know if it's still there or not. Certainly looks like it'd been sitting for a while.

Lex, I LOVE that jeep photo!
I just remembered that I have an old photo. It's not mine! I helped somebody put it up on the forum a couple of years ago. Here it is, the old Christ of the Caribbean statue that used to be up on Peace Hill, with some unidentified forumites:
