Ok, I just read this thread from start to finish for the first time and I'm laughing so hard I'm crying. I was entertained all along, but when the chicken shriners became mentioned along with the chickens in knitted hats, I lost it!! I want an answer to the question, who first thought...oh, we should knit our chickens hats!! Thanks for the laugh!! And Ruth, I hope the chicken population is under control soon!

Well, Mrs. JT sits around and knits CHURKENDOOSES. Yes that would be a cross of a ckicken, a turkey, a duck and a goose. She's not normal.
