Note to self: Do NOT do the fertility dance wearing the coconut bra on next STJ trip.

Anyone heard from Jorge and Barb?

Congrats Pip and family!

Holy crap.

Like 28 hours after I did the dance, we decided to pull the goalie.

Whoa...

Hey Ruth: Next time I visit, I expect to see a fertility shrine in the store with a statue of me as its centerpiece

Congrats Pip! That is great news!

Beats my most unusual gift by a mile: my parents must be cleaning out their basement because among my gifts from them were two albums (yes, the old vinyl records) -- the Monkees! Loved them! These date to either my Kindergarten or first grade years (I wrote "Cathy" on the covers, and I started going by "Katie" in first grade for no apparent reason) and I just turned 47, so you know these are oldies! I have no idea what to do with them but after 40 years in my folks' basement I can't throw them out now.

congrats Pipanele! That is a good present.

Chicagoans: Keep those records! I have some original Beatles albums from 1964-1968 and they are a bit scratchy, but I think worth keeping.

I have the Monkee's "Meet the Monkee's" album (it was my first album ever!) and several other vinyl gems: The Stones, Deep Purple, Jefferson Starship, Aerosmith, Jim Croce, Janis Ian, and more. I see absolutely no reason to get rid of them. Our kids have no clue what albums are. And, on that topic, why are there still awards for "best album of the year?" Just askin'.

Pip, that's exciting news! I'm playing catch up here, but you definitely win the prize for the best Christmas present post. Congratulations!

(Maybe Ruth should change the name of her store to STJ Spice and Fertility Clinic.)

Especially since the fertility statue (of me) will not be artistic or tasteful.
