Are we trying to compete with that other forum now?

Oh, lordy.
This is not turning around and more feelings are going to get hurt.

Surely someone has an overdue trip report to tide us over?
Or we could talk about the weather.
I'm mopping a flood in my back room and wishing I could send some rain to California Girl.

The good weather news has two parts:
1) It's the first night since June that we haven't had to turn on the A/C. I think I may need a blanket tonight! I'll probably save $5.00 on my electric bill.

2) It's so damp and humid, I think my hair's a little frizzy! I'm kind of thrilled about this, I never get to have frizzy hair!
The bad weather news would apply if you are on vacation here right now.

I miised the flathead/retard comments, too, Pete. We never get that personal on this board!
Wasn't "flathead" from a series of caveman books by Jean Awl,or something like that? Hey, Pete? Is it true that lawyers grow six inches taller if they take a viagra?
Now back to our regularly scheduled group hug!

That's a good one. I actually like lawyer jokes. As Marcia will attest, I always say that the worst part about being a lawyer is that I have to work with other lawyers.

Jorge...I'm sure you meant flat head in only the most complimentary way. And, for the record (that's how we lawyers talk) I wasn't the one who used "retard."

What's really fun with a thread like this is reading the new topic then jumping to the last reply and then try to figure out how it progressed or digressed,in this case,to point it is at now.It is pure entertainment.
I for one really enjoy all types of posts and have plugged everyone into their stereotypical personna.I feel like I know all of yall and can even anticipate what will set you off.
You guys are great and I look foward to this forum, even if I just usually lurk. Not on weekends though,I do have a life.

I think it's great the way these threads snake their way through the day.

Mea culpa...I started this thread in an attempt to invite some of my old forum buddies to come out into the light of day. Honey is great, but vinegar also has flavor.

If we are a "family" on this forum, can you leave room at the table for the cranky uncle who sometimes offends, but speaks his mind, none the less?

Bandit...where the heck are you?

HOOOOORAAAAA for Mr Pete this was the most entertaining day I've had on the board since I started to post. Went out to eat with my sweetie and had to get on after catching a little buzz from some drinks. Spent way to much time at work on the board today. Sure made the workday go by fast.

Jorge, you were pretty much right on about getting to
know folks on the forum. I know Pete's got a sense of humor and the lawyer joke wouldn't offend him. Nothing mean spirited. Now as to the flathead reference.... I'm sure Barbara was pretty clear as to where you could put your beer.

Ya, we talk about forumites around the dinner table and even the kids know who the frequent flyers are. Personalities can come through in writing, but not always.

JT, are you up late or early on this fine Saturday morning? My excuse is that I'm on the way to the airport.

Cheers, RickG

Early this time, Rick. Man, I wish that we were going down now. Money's a bit tight this year. 1st time in 5 years we haven't gone. Hope you all have a blast!

Hi everyone!! Well - I've been gone a bit and just logged on and have loved this thread. For the record, I'm a girl, I am not fru-fru, just a normal person. I think.

I just wanted to say hi and that I've missed everyone. I've had a lot going on in my personal life and at work and just didn't have the energy to post.

I love this board and everyone on it!! Take care!! 8)
