I am loving this thread so much! Kirk, your photos are amazing... that fuzzy bumblebee is so cool!
And Japanese Toad Lilies.... on my list for my front flowerbed, which rarely gets any sun! I've been wanting some color out there, so those should be perfect!

Awesome Thread Ruth,
Planting must go with the name

I love flowers & drive Larry crazy...
Here is a pic of part of our backyard, I spend hours playing with my plants, this year was not a good year with the weather, but still fun.

Love the picture of the hummingbird moth! I see them occasionally but I am never fast enough to get a photo.

Does anyone want any Japanese Maple tree seeds? My patio table is covered with them, not to mention what's on the ground. It's been real windy today and I've got seeds & leaves EVERYWHERE!
This is the tree:
These are the seeds!
I'll be happy to put a few in an envelope and send them to you!

I think it's time for potting pomegranates.
There seem to be enough seedlings for a pomegranate farm.

Wowzers! Maybe in the future we'll be seeing
St. John Ruth's Pomegranate Stand by the side of the road! There's your retirement income right there in that little flower pot!

Greyhoundmom sent me some "Donkey Diner Plant" seeds, (I swear Hugo ID'd the plant, but I can't find that post now!) and I planted them them today!
Well "plant" might be a misnomer... I laid the little "pods" on top of the potting soil and sort of pushed them down a little bit. I really hope I haven't been replaced in the morning!
Thanks Jan!!
