Filthy - so far.
If I may respond to the temporary thread hijack: That's the thing about Wagner - he'll lull you into a sense of lights out, then he'll go Armando Benitez on ya in a big spot. Who knows though - maybe coming back from a career threatening injury gives you a different (better) mental makeup.
If I may also give a shout out to Derek Jeter on tying the Iron Horse. Wow - what fun to be witness to that kind of baseball history and what a joy to watch him play over these 14 years. Any purist who can appreciate the multi-dimensional aspects of his game, not to mention his quiet leadership, personal character and big game performance, has got to tip their cap. Speaking of which, nice that the Rays were standing on the top step of their dugout applauding too after the tying hit.

If I can throw in a huge congratulations to Jeter from Red Sox Nation, he may have had 600 more at bats, but the caliber of pitching he faced as a Career American Leaguer, was significantly better, IMHO. And he has outlasted all of the cream of crop {Nomar} that entered the league at the same time.
Could any of you Mets Fans let me know who will be let go cheap after Pedro and Billy Wagner?
David Wright might look pretty good in the Red Sox Uniform!

Oh wait... NEWS FLASH - assorted media reports are saying that one dose of the H1N1 vaccine will give protection. Data to be released tomorrow.

Seriously? How did this H1N1 get hijacked to baseball? Did it start with don't touch your face and don't scratch your B____s?
Anyway H1N1 is the flu. That's it. We've had it in our district, folks stay home. This is an early seasonal flu. Be sensible. It's the flu a different type.
Our State isn't even testing for it...just calling it the "flu".

That is always good advice, but you guys have the order wrong.
JMQ made me do it. And it does add interest to an otherwise ended topic. Kind of a conservation of white space.
And thank you to the Mets for paying my man Pedro to rehab his partially torn rotator cuff till he was better. Good things happen to good pitchers.
Hijackings, like Pedro, are back in style!

If there is anything else you would like to know about the Red Sox, let me know.
Yeah, do you think that they'll even hold on and beat the Rangers out of the wild card?

No, I know about the hamstring. He tore it running after Chicas in the Dominican. The "tear" is the reason the Sox used for not bringing him back after 2004. So he spent 4 years with the Mets, 1 good, 3 eh. All while getting his $$$ Money.
The Sox were right to not sign him, the Mets were wrong to pay for his rehab, and get nothing for him.
Nomar, Pedro, Mo, Rocket... All had that duende that made everyone want to watch.
..."I, I , I will always love yooooou."
2006 Highlights
An MRI on Sept. 29 disclosed that Pedro had a muscle tendon tear of the calf of his left leg...An additional MRI that same day revealed that he had a right rotator cuff tear...Underwent surgery to repair the rotator cuff on Oct. 5...The surgery was performed by Mets Medical Director, Dr. David Altchek, assisted by Mets Team Physician, Dr. Straun Coleman, and former Boston Red Sox Medical Director, Dr.William Morgan...
Bring back Willie Randolph.

Sorry, missed the Comment about '86 World Series.
That's like bringing up my SAT Scores, it was so many years, and 2 World Series Sweeps Ago.
But now that I think about it, I need to sit down and medicate myself. The horror, the horror.

David Wells, Who else was gonna wear Mo Vaughns Uniform?
Matt Clement, Curt Schilling was on the radio calling out Clement because he "said he was injured. The following week, an MRI found one of the worst arm injuies a pitcher has ever had.
