If I may respond to the temporary thread hijack: That's the thing about Wagner - he'll lull you into a sense of lights out, then he'll go Armando Benitez on ya in a big spot. Who knows though - maybe coming back from a career threatening injury gives you a different (better) mental makeup.

If I may also give a shout out to Derek Jeter on tying the Iron Horse. Wow - what fun to be witness to that kind of baseball history and what a joy to watch him play over these 14 years. Any purist who can appreciate the multi-dimensional aspects of his game, not to mention his quiet leadership, personal character and big game performance, has got to tip their cap. Speaking of which, nice that the Rays were standing on the top step of their dugout applauding too after the tying hit.

If I can throw in a huge congratulations to Jeter from Red Sox Nation, he may have had 600 more at bats, but the caliber of pitching he faced as a Career American Leaguer, was significantly better, IMHO. And he has outlasted all of the cream of crop {Nomar} that entered the league at the same time.

Could any of you Mets Fans let me know who will be let go cheap after Pedro and Billy Wagner?

Anyway H1N1 is the flu. That's it. We've had it in our district, folks stay home. This is an early seasonal flu. Be sensible. It's the flu a different type.
Our State isn't even testing for it...just calling it the "flu".

No, I know about the hamstring. He tore it running after Chicas in the Dominican. The "tear" is the reason the Sox used for not bringing him back after 2004. So he spent 4 years with the Mets, 1 good, 3 eh. All while getting his $$$ Money.

The Sox were right to not sign him, the Mets were wrong to pay for his rehab, and get nothing for him.

Nomar, Pedro, Mo, Rocket... All had that duende that made everyone want to watch.
