Oh! Another group that Sydney (ScubaGirl) and her hubby introduced me to was Great Big Sea-- they called it Canadian Maritime music (at least I think that's what she called it).

It's sort of a mix of Irish/folk/I don't know how else to describe it but it's generally happy fun stuff.

I included The Decemberists. I love "Sons & Daughters" in particular. They're quite wonderful to see live. They'll be at the Newport Folk Festival this summer.
