Mr. Marcia-
I would insult you, but I suspect you would like it too much.

Well that's good then...There's a strong possibility that Obama was born in Kenya.
You keep doing it...you're like my dream opposing witness in a deposition...let them talk enough, get them riled up, and they always let something slip out.
First you call him "boy" and then you go with the Kenya comment. I know, I know...not a racist bone in your body. But, what about your heart?
Keep talking...the hole you're digging is getting deeper. What a hoot.
Dude, you can tell you are a lawyer. You take the most benign statements and turn them into something sinister.
Keep calling me a racist.
This stuff is crazy, and I don't believe he was born in Kenya. But this is what I was referencing:

Soxfan, I handle discrimination cases for a living.
There are certain code words, buzz words if you will, that people use when they are expressing discrimination. Most people these days are too smart to just come out and say that they can't stand the thought of a black man being President. So, the code is used. Boy, Kenya, protecting the "lazy" and so on.
Your comments are not benign. I've heard them before. I know what they mean.

So now, we cannot mention "Kenya" along with the words/phrases "Barack", "Obama", or "Barack Obama". Even though of course, he has Kenyan ancestry (not to say there is anything wrong with that re-pete). If we do, the resident discrimination lawyer will brand us racists.
You know, last week a columnist for the Kansas City Star said that the word "socialist" is code for "black". Do you agree with that too, re-pete?

Again, it goes back to, anybody stupid enough not to vote for the Messiah must be a racist s.o.b.

One of my friends sent me the e-mail with all the "evidence" about Barack being born in Kenya. When I replied about how McCain was born in Panama and that it's unclear as to whether he is eligible to be president, she never replied.
And then a few days later she sent me racist pictures and cartoons about Obama.
I hope she doesn't send me anything important, because I have just been deleting all her e-mails without opening them. She's in time out, because I really don't want to believe she's racist. As I said, this election has brought out ugliness in people I didn't need to know about.
Call Obama a Marxist. Say he'll raise your taxes. Say he kills babies. If you have reasons relating to politics and ideology, that's fine, but there's no need to bring his race up.
Glad to hear Junior's doing better, Jorge. I can't believe I'm going to miss everyone by one day

He's has Kenyan heritage, and there is/was question as to where he was born.
Please do not compare me to your friend who sent the racist pictures.
You know, when Barack said "I do not look like the guys on our dollar bills"...Who was playing games with race? Who brought that up?
When he went to Berlin and said he doesn't look like the other US Presidents who had visited before him...Who was playing games with race? Who brought that up?

I was just making a generalization and saying, once again, that I think that race shouldn't be an issue. You've given a laundry list of reasons you dislike him, and that's fine. I'd rather hear that than all the racist innuendo.
I don't care if he's from Kenya. Because even if he is, McCain isn't a U.S. born citizen and he's still running, so apparently we've just glazed over that part of the Constitution. I just hope that doesn't mean Schwarzanegger will try to run someday.
I don't think you're a racist, so no need to pick an imaginary fight with me.

Seriously - even as a conservative I'm not sure what to make of him.

How rude! Now I understand where you get that "needling" crap. You practically invented it. There is no reason to be so insulting to people.

Your comments are not benign. I've heard them before. I know what they mean.
I was the one that used the word lazy in the other topic to describe people who are able-bodied but collect government aid instead of working. It is absurd that you decided to bring it up in this thread and insinuate that I'm racist because I said that some people are too lazy to work. I had no skin color in mind when I made that comment, but apparently you did so it sounds like you're the one with the problem...that or you're so hypersensitive because of your profession that you invent issues that don't exist.
We all know that there are lots of people who take advantage of the system, and you're lying to yourself if you say otherwise. I even acknowledged that there are some people who need help. You have a disgusting way of taking words and twisting them into something that doesn't even come close to resembling the truth or original intent.
If you hear the word "lazy" and a certain race of people come to mind, then that is your prejudice, not mine.
I for one would be thrilled to vote for a conservative black President. My disdain for Obama could not have less to do with the color of his skin.

Well this has been interesting can't talk politics without peoples feathers getting ruffled. I would just like to say whomever gets president lets hope they walk the talk and and actually do something good for America and get us back on track. Gotta give Bush credit, his claim to fame is going to be getting more people to vote than ever before. Heard the other day that like 80+% were going to vote. Wonder were we would be if Gore would have won 8 years ago guess we we'll never know. Oh I forgot he did win

I'm with Jorge I'd have a beer with any of ya but no politics in Paridise please

sox-Here's a couple of things for you to chew on:
“PHILADELPHIA — A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit challenging Barack Obama’s qualifications to be president. U.S. District Judge R. Barclay Surrick rejected the suit by lawyer Philip J. Berg, who alleged that Obama was not a U.S. citizen and was, therefore, ineligible for the presidency. Berg asserted that Obama is either a citizen of his father’s native Kenya or became a citizen of Indonesia after he moved there as a boy. Obama was born in Hawaii to an American mother. Surrick ruled that Berg lacked the standing to bring the case.”
