Well, I have to admit that I can't think of anyplace else I'd rather live. Where is your hubby from originally? [/quote]
San Diego, the trip was to attend his 30th H.S. reunion. We are not in a position to make a move now. We both have elderly parents here... but I have to confess I've been looking at San Diego real estate listings all week

If I've told you once, I've told you a thousand time.....DO NOT post pictures of SoCal. You want that I5 to get any more crowded. If you do it one more time, and I mean it, I will post all of my pictures taken locally of the Northridge earthquake.

This stream is walking distance from our house. I go here to reflect on life sometimes.

sailorgirl - maybe you could snag a place while prices are low and then rent it out for a few years before you moved?
My thoughts exactly! We just have to get by college tuition first!

I remember that apartment house that's collapsed in on itself (the one with the yellow tape). I remember people wanting to go in and get their stuff, but they weren't allowed to because it was so unstable. Yep, an earthquake can certainly cause some damage, but unlike a tornado, it doesn't wipe everything off the map several times a year.
I'll still take earthquake country! Rock n' roll!

Nice try Promoguy, but I'm not deterred. My office is two blocks from Ground Zero. I learned that day to live each day to the fullest and when its your time it your time.

Well said sailorgirl...another thing you learn is that material possessions are just things so don't put too much stake in them as one day, they may be gone.

CG-the building you're thinking of is the one that was on Reseda Blvd. It actually pancaked three floors onto itself. The one you see is one around the corner from our house.

Chet - Practically the whole picture is stream. See how the rocks and the branches are reflected in the water?
