The roll ups were a huge success.
And I will say that they were the only success. I did not make my shrimp and orzo salad because napping seemed like a good idea.
The wine was fabulous though!
(I brought it)

Another meat and potatoes girl here
Laugh if you must, but you take those little weenies, wrap 'em in bacon and douse them in brown sugar and people will go CRAZY for them. At least in the midwest. They are super tasty.

Nice, X! I am glad they were a hit. It certainly sounds better than what I got on the 4th, which was NOTHING. I was specifically told not to bring anything, and every single item on the table, even the DIPS, had red meat in it, which I don't eat. I have been a part of John's family for 16 years and I still have to put up with this passive agressive crap from his aunts. WHATEVER! I brought wine and just smiled the entire evening. John said I did my best ever Stepford wife impression. He just booked us the fall trip I wanted to salute my performance, so I guess it was worth it.

Yes, St. John. Yes, the wine was good. The trip will be better!
