Thanks for the link CG, and thanks for getting the thread (kinda) back on topic. My fault for going off on the dog tangent.
I don't think liamsaunt's ideal climate exists, but Denver's climate is not too far from it. Although we get quite a few days in the summer that go into the 90's, it's never humid and hot at the same time and nightime temps in the summer are perfect. No ice storms here. Fall doesn't last 4 months unfortunately, but September and the first half of October are great.
Here is a photo of a snow sculpture our neighbor did back in December of '06. The winter of '06-'07 was unusually snowy here.
