Silverheels and my family pack the same. Peanuts with M&M's. They go for road trips, boat trips and flights.

I always make chocolate chip cookies for road trips. Will do so tomorrow night before I head out for a girl's weekend at the Lake.

Ice cold bottles of coke are also a vacation must have. I don't let myself drink these in "real life" so I enjoy them on the beach for sure!

I really hate to have food in the car (the smell bothers me), so the only thing I bring is peppermint gum and water.

I don't like to have any food on the train either, no matter how long the trip is (it's never more than five hours). I will bring a couple of bottles of water for the ride.

For flights, I try and bring a bag of food in case we get stuck. Usually I pack an orange, some pistachios, and a piece of baguette with some butter and thinly sliced swiss cheese on it.

Cheetos...the puffy ones, not the crunchy ones. A successful road trip always ends with an orange steering wheel.
