Two dumb questions; what's in a dark and stormy? And, how do you pronounce Cruzan? I always assumed it was crew-zan'. Then I heard somebody pronounce it like crew'-zin.

Imagine that, Dark & Stormy has a wikipedia entry:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_%27N%27_Stormy
I make a Dark & Stormy by filling a tall glass with ice, add 2 shots of Gosling's Black Seal Rum and then Barritt's Ginger Beer to taste.
I say Crew-Shin, but I've heard other versions.
That reminds of a story I heard on Hawaii: Some sailors asked an old timer what the right way to say Hawaii was. The old timer said "Ha Va Eee." When he was thanked he said "Ya Velcome."

Hey, Rick!
I often get the question," What's your favorite drink on STJ?"
Of course the answer is always,' My next one!"

The folks that I know that work for the rum company say crew-zin. (Hopefully you get my drift, I am not a dictionary writer by any means.)
However you say it, it's mighty tasty.
I don't think I can make it 9 more days without a mojito!
carib is like corona

Caribe beer is very similar to corona.
Pusser's rum was the rum the british navy used to give the sailors. A daily shot. They stopped once, and the sailors had a revolt.
Later, they mixed the rum with water to make it go further. The mix was called "grog".
"Pusser's" comes from "Purser's", the job title on board to give things out.
I'm going to have some Pusser's Rum tonight at Paradiso.

For a pretty authoritative source on different rums look up ministryofrum.com. I met the guy who operates it on the beach (really at a bar on the beach) in Nevis a number of years ago. Tough life, his. He spends most of his time sailing from island to island doing "research".

Rum? Always Pussers.
Beer? I tend to drink Hineys or Caribs when I'm down there, but I stumbled upon some VI Pale Ale (summer promotion?) at my local liquor store this summer.
Took a case to a party. Gone in a flash. Went back & bought another case the following weekend. My wife & her visiting sisters scoffed it down. A little too fruity for me, but the gals love it.
