This is fun because everyone disagrees!

Our villa has been Peace O'Heaven. The interior isn't fancy and needs work, but the view from the pool, across the sound looking at STT, especially at sunset, is unbelievable.

Just got back from St. John a little over a week ago....although it was our first villa experience, we thought that Sea Stone had the most amazing view.

Headed back next summer, and staying at Andante by the Sea. It looks like another villa with an incredible view!
:D

After simply reading this forum for months, it took this particular post to coax me into joining the forum so that I could reply! *so, this is my first post - be gentle!

Perelandra has my vote for the best view - no question! While we have also enjoyed the views from MorningSide, my husband and I prefer the sites from Perelandra. The villa overlooks Cruz Bay & STT and there is something comforting to look out over the lights of St. Thomas at night and watch the ferries go in and out. The view from the day is beautiful as well, as you can see the many uninhabited islands that lay out at sea! We intentionally return to the villa for the sunset each night, as there is nothing more stunning! We recommend this villa often, and I always emphasize its view... so, just thought that I'd share! 8)

WELCOME! I continue to hear great things about this villa and I feel I must try it one of these days. Next time perhaps!

THANKS! Everyone seems so nice and fun on this board... maybe its because we all share a common love! We've stayed at Perelandra quite a few times... I'd highly recommend it! *p.s. I love your ST J countdown!*

I think it's like viewing the Louvre; we all have our favorite idea in our mind of what is perfect. To some it is a view of STT and the night lights, and to others it's the north shore view of the islands during the day and the stars at night. To me they are all PERFECT. I just want to keep going long enoung to enjoy both. What a blessed girl I am!

We've stayed at this house for the past three visits. The sunrise and sunset views are beautiful. Also the views of both Chocolate Hole and Hart Bay are great.

Ok, 2 of my favorites have been mentioned which inspired me to finally try & insert some pictures into my posting. I've wanted to do this for a couple years and have just kept 'chickening out' because it seemed so intimidating. Hope this works:

Others have mentioned Cinnamon Tarn (& other northshore villas). I agree, those views from there are utterly amazing. Can't always afford those villas but when I can, I jump on them. Definitely on my favorites list. I had a picture very similar to the one someone posted (with the hot tub in the foreground) but in mine, my husband was sitting in it with a big grin on his face, smoking a cigar & sipping on Grand Marnier... :D

Another favorite, 1 that we've only been able to afford once for a couple days but well worth it, is Scott Beach on Caneel Bay. There's something wonderful about walking out a few footsteps from your room & being on one of the prettiest beaches in the world, surrounded by a sunset like this:

Again, someone else mentioned Perelandra, another favorite of ours. I love that view; always something to see, whether crystal blue water with sailboats skimming across it, sunsets, or the nightlights:

Ok, let's hope this works...

It DID work! :D Thanks for your kind comments. Once I found the pics & got everything set up, it wasn't really that hard. But then I noticed that there are buttons on top (of where I'm writing my message here) and one of them is "img" and I'm wondering if I can just not click the 'img' rather than writing out the code I found on the boards here awhile ago.
