I like to fly Delta out of Grand Rapids, as the airport is about 8 minutes from my house. That flight is $605 pretty much always, with a stop in Atlanta, which is not too bad. Also, I get double miles if I use my Delta Amex buying anything from Delta, so the tickets and the seat upgrades go a long way towards making my next flight free. Occasionally though, the prices on American out of Detroit are too attractive to pass up. My ticket for last April's trip was $274

I wouldn't fly Spirit if the tickets were $50 - I have too much leg and not enough patience.
