My husband and I will be on STJ June 10th, but we leave on the 11th so I can pretty much guarantee that we won't be able to drag ourselves away from the beach on the afternoon of our last day.

Be sure to say hi if you see us around though...I'll have my forum koozie with a Pepsi inside :)

This is what we look like:

(Well, that's kind of what my husband looks like...he never looks quite like himself in pictures)

My family of six, myself, husband, almost 16 yo triplets, 2 girls and a boy (ughh), and 6 yo daughter will be arriving on Sat the 9th. We will try to make it if I can drag everyone away from the beach so early in our trip. This is our second trip to STJ. Our first was three years ago and our youngest stayed with grandparents then. We have been busy getting her ready to snorkle with the rest of us. We fly into STT on Friday and spend the first night there so we can take an early ferry over for extra beach time. 13 days and counting.

regansmom,
My daughter is 16 also. Triplets, huh? Wow, I can't imagine. We hope to see you on the 10th! We might have a big group.

June 10th Group: I love the Sunday Beach Bar Jazz Jam, but if you're there for a while and it's this hot on the beach, you might move to somewhere with a fan or two, like The Banana Deck right across the street. If you state this ahead of time, latecomers could pop up there and find you. Ron also made the comment just now that he would really have liked to talk to people more, but it's kind of hard to converse over the music.

Ruth wrote this in another thread. Do we want to re-consider where we meet, or just keep it the beach bar? We could come up with a secondary location just in case.

As much as I like jazz, I am also pretty hot natured, and standing on the hot beach for a couple of hours may be a bit much. I think Ruth may have a good idea for our meet-up. We can meet at The Banana Deck, have some drinks and conversation, and then if we'd like, some or all of us can move over to the Beach Bar to listen to jazz!

My vote goes to moving our meeting place to the Banana Deck. Anyone second?

Sounds good to me. I'll let you ladies make the decision. My wife has trained me well.

Sounds good to us too! Hot and loud sounds like a great place for later in the evening, but for meeting and chatting, we are open to wherever you all want to go.

That sounds fine to me too. 4:00- Banana Deck.
I've never been there. Do they have outside seating?

I found a picture, but for some reason I could not save it. It's by the Stone Terrace and it has an outdoor deck with umbrellas. Here's the link:

One week from today! See you all there! I did read in a recent trip report that on the couple of occasions the user wanted to go to Banana Deck it was closed. We will head over there at 4:00 and if, for some reason, nobody is around, our fall back will be the Beach Bar.

We fly our Thursday morning; Yeeha!
