My heart breaks for you - so sorry for your loss. We lost my dad just after Christmas a few years ago, and it just sucks.

Sorry for your loss - sudden death can be an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10. Cherish the memories.

Elisa, I liked your mom. She got a kick out of the "tourists" who put up the huricane screen, and helped your dad take his down. How is your dad doing?

Thanks for everyones thoughts. It really means a lot to me to know there are such nice people out there who share the love of St. John. I may be going down in January just for a few days to pack up some stuff and say goodbye to some friends....if I can find the strength.

I wish everyone on this board a blessed holiday season. Enjoy you families and make sure you tell them every day how much you love them, since you never know what tomorrow brings......
