Sorry to hear about the push back on your finish date...
I will keep my fingers crossed that you are able to celebrate Thanksgiving in your new home! :)

Thanks IslandJo, me too! It looks like the lower units will be ready to occupy sooner than the upper level. We can be down below while the upstairs is being finished off.

Great choice for doors/screening. And how could you build a STJ house without those scones? I want to get some made for our cottage but am worried they won't survive a PA winter.

I love that you left the cypress on the ceilings a natural color, they look beautiful! Everything looks great, love the stone walls and sconces. Can't wait to see it come all together, thanks for sharing. :)

PA girl, the screens are mounted on the inside, so I think you'll be okay!

Thanks Myheart! I'm loving the natural cypress color!

We're preparing the house for the pending hurricane now!!! Securing everything that's loose, covering openings. All the doors upstairs have been installed. I have a couple more updates up with another one on the way soon!

Hey y'all! Just a quick update... construction is over and we are just wrapping up some of the finishing details that are left. From start to finish it was about 10 months. I've got a few more posts up on the blog with a few more to follow as we wrap things up.

Do you want to come and visit St. John and stay at Seas the Day? Well, Gifft Hill School is auctioning off a week's stay here, so if you want to potentially get a good price for a week's vacation, help out a great school, and have it tax deducible... what are you waiting for?!?
You can bid here: http://www.giffthillschool.org/auction_ ... ?item=1129

There have also been a few more blog posts with a couple more coming to wrap everything up! http://www.seasthedaystj.com/
