Did one week and cried when we left ... normally do 2 weeks and are really sad when we leave .... Sure would like to try 3 !!!!!!!! Maybe a possiblility in a year or 2. Living on St. John... well....We live at a beach destination. We go to the beach when friends come to visit, and maybe onece or twice a year during the summer , but when you work all the time it is hard. So if you have to work on STJ, I would think it would be like that. Of course I am not beyond trying!

Our first trip was 7 days, and as everyone here has acknowledged, it was too short. We decided 10 would be our minimum, then did an 11 and 12 day trip. Had to do a 7 again for my son's spring break trip (that due to an airline snafu ended up only being 6) and it reinforced the belief that a week is too short for us.

We did manage one 14 day trip. We're not hang around the villa types, but at the end of 14 days it still seemed to have flo by too quickly. We just got back from the first seven day trip for just the two of us in years, but it was an unusual trip for a number of reasons (details in "soon come" trip report).

We met a retired gentleman from Boston on this trip that stays on STJ with his wife every year, January through March!
